Will Saul Artist Page is the producer and DJ behind Simple Records and Aus Music. Over the years Will has gained an admirable reputation as not only a show- stealing DJ, but also a talented A&R and producer. Will’s most recent album project, Close, is scheduled for release on !k7 in June. The album features production collaborations with Scuba, Appleblim, October & Ewan Pearson and vocals from Joe Dukie of Fat Freddies Drop, Peacefrog artist Charlene Soraia, Fink and Tikiman. The brainchild of veteran producers Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani, Metro Area was born out of the pair’s somewhat dichotomous love for both the classic moods of R&B, disco and boogie and innovative, modern dance music. Metro Area brings back the soulful experimentation of the early club classics, mixing live and electronic instruments. Simultaneously, the mood and minimalism of more recent forms creep into the mix: Detroit's cold futurism, Chicago's abstract track-modes, the warmth of New York and New Jersey's deep house and the experimentation of brave pop music. Anthony describes his style as a mix of deep house, house, and deep techno. And his ability to master all these genres is demonstrated in the breadth of high quality labels he has already released on. Currently, Anthony has been focusing much of his time on a new label venture with Francis Harris, Scissor & Thread, which launched at the end of 2011. By no means your average dance imprint, Scissor & Thread is a platform for ambitious sounds, mixing up slow house with the indie world.
